Inner Darkness
Julio Delgado was my best friend since kindergarten. He and I grew up making our own comics together. When we got older he continued with that passion and started working on Inner Darkness. Tragically, we lost Julio at the age of 27. I was honored to be asked by his family to pick up where he left off and help complete Inner Darkness. Everything you see here was done by Julio and Dani; the story, the characters, the dialogue was all Julio, and all of the art was Dani. My only role in this project was as editor. I took everything that these two had worked on and attempted to put it together into one cohesive story.
I know the purpose of this site is too discuss and collect some of the most famous works in all of comic books, so please excuse this one indulgence. Julio and I would talk almost daily about comic books, what we were reading, or writing, or what we liked and disliked. I would be remiss in my duties as best friend if I didn't take this opportunity to highlight the work and passion that he brought into this world.Â
Below you will find a link to his gofundme, this is where his family and I decided to host Inner Darkness. Inner Darkness is available completely for free if you'd like to just experience the joy and art that Julio made for us. If you choose to make a donation, proceeds will be sent to one one of Julio's favorite charities, the Rainforest Action Network. RAN works toward a world where the rights and dignity of all communities are respected and where healthy forests, a stable climate and wild biodiversity are protected and celebrated. Donations are never expected, but always welcome. You will find download links for Inner Darkness in both CBR and PDF formats.
